PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Happy summer to you all! I do hope you are carving some time out for yourself, friends, and family this summer! Te KVMA supports not only your professional development and career success, but also your personal well-be- ing and happiness in striving to live your best life. We know that we all do our best when we get to rest and relax and feed those curiosities that make us unique. Members of our KVMA executive board continue to attend lead- ership and development meetings during the summer months as well. Many of these events allow networking and brainstorming as we plan for the year ahead and activities for the upcoming Mid-America Veterinary Conference in September! We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating 50 years of the KVMA.
Congratulations to our recent new graduates who have come to the Commonwealth to start their jour- neys as veterinarians! Please continue to support our new vets and offer mentorship. Te MentorVet program expands on this concept too, as it allows mentorship available to all veterinarians young and old, near and far. What a great way to connect with colleagues. You never know what relationships you might develop. You may be planning your next vacation with someone you meet through this program! Again, enjoy the summer and let us know if the KVMA can help you in any way. We look forward to seeing you in September at Te Galt House.
