PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE (CONT.)
feedback. Now the KBVE is seeking individual stakeholder feedback and the KVMA is participating to help them get their word out. Tese meetings will be for all Kentucky licensees, not just KVMA members. Tere will be meetings held across the state, so if you can’t make the one for your constituent group you can attend one at an- other location.
Te second part of the KVMA/KBVE joint meetings has been in the works for more than two years, but plans were postponed due to, your guessed it, COVID. KBVE has contracted with the association to host joint, regional meetings. We will have one meeting with each constituent group. Tese meetings are so that KVMA membership will have the opportunity to learn more about our association, as well as how KBVE’s job as a licensing board differs from what we do. Participants will hear from updates from KVMA leadership on all our programming. From the licensing board, participants will hear about KBVE’s mission, new rules and regulations, and common complaint cases and disciplinary actions. We will have members of the KVMA board, representatives from the KBVE board, and the Executive Directors of each board, at each meeting.
Sincerely,
Jason Rodgers, DVM KVMA President
