AGC of California Recognizes Winners of 2024 Construction Safety Excellence Awards Competition

GC of California recently recognized the best in safety in the California construction industry with the 37th Annual Construction


Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA), in partnership with HammerTech. Te prestigious annual awards event was held on October3, 2024 at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage in conjunction with CONSTRUCT 2024, AGC of California’s annual networking and professional development conference. Te CSEA luncheon drew a crowd of several hundred con- struction executives, safety professionals, and stu- dent chapter members to see leading California construction companies and individuals honored for safety excellence. AGC of California President-Elect Pat Kelly,


Granite Construction, helped kick off the safety awards and welcomed attendees while offering a few comments on safety in the industry. “In construction, we know that a successful


project is a safe project. Safety is the cornerstone of everything we do, every step of the way. As an industry, our goal first and foremost is that every

employee returns home safely to their family,” Kelly commented. “Together, AGC of California and its member companies can play a vital role in elevating the conversation about the importance of safety. We want every person on every job site to feel supported both physically and emotionally,” he added. “And safety is about more than just our physical health. Safety and mental health go hand-in-hand – we cannot achieve one without the other. In the past several years, AGC of California has launched several initiatives to increase awareness of the importance of mental health in the workplace. Together, we can continue to keep our workers safe by addressing needs of workers physically and mentally.” 2024 AGC of California Safety & Health Council
