Wil, now a sophomore at the University of Missouri, pitches for the Tigers. He had his own battle with an injury that sidelined him for over a year and changed some of his plans, but watching his mom endure life’s challenges, at a young age, taught him how to react to his own. Wyatt, a sophomore at Blair Oaks High School, followed Wil’s path on the pitching mound but is creating his own incredible journey to greatness. He led his team to victory last year in the state cham- pionship game, as a freshman, with a cool, calm and collective demeanor. Sara’s curveball came out of nowhere, but in true catcher mode she dropped and blocked the wild pitch, kept it in front of her and never lost sight of the goal or her drive to sit in the stands once again and watch her boys. She has shown true grace and beauty in her journey and in turn blessed many with positive thoughts, words of en- couragement and hope. A good mother not only gives her chil- dren life but also teaches them how to live. Wil and Wyatt are quiet, composed and simply put, the most humble teenag-  because of her great example.

Sara has spent many long hours sitting in the stands and watch-

She cherishes the ability to watch her kids from the stands and never takes for granted the gift of health to do so. She will forever be their MVP.
