Jace’s journey has been just as remarkable. He’s a three-sport ath- lete, playing football, basketball, and baseball during high school. “My favorite memories are winning rivalry games with my teammates and my game-winner against Harrisburg in my junior season,” he recalls. basketball, an honor that cements his place in Southern Boone history, as well as being named all-district. “My family has always been sup- grandpa Wren and the extended family in the crowd,” he said. The Wren cousins have a passion for all their sports, but one in love playing baseball and softball, both of our passions and love are with basketball,” says Adisen. Between the two of them, it’s never been a competition about who is better at basketball, just both can shoot and have speed and a knowledge of the game,” said Jace. They both play at guard, but each has their own unique styles and strengths in defending, shooting, and moving down the court. As their time at Southern Boone comes to an end, both Adisen and Jace have big goals for the future. Adisen will attend MACC for two years before transferring to Mizzou to study interior design, and Jace plans to continue his basketball career while studying business at a four-year college.
Their time as Eagles may be coming to a close, but their family’s leg- acy in Southern Boone athletics is far from over. With younger siblings and cousins continuing to compete, the Wren name will echo through though, Adisen and Jace can take pride in everything they’ve accom- plished together—two athletes, one family, and a lifetime of memories. Whether they’re draining threes or cheering from the sidelines, Adisen and Jace Wren will always have each other’s backs, just like they have since day one. As for who’s the better three-point shooter between the two… well, you’ll just have to ask them yourself to settle that debate!
