Who knew Sara Libbert’s position of choice as a young athlete would also help provide the tools needed for a later battle in life and a platform for her boys’ success?


Sara Libbert grew up watching the St. Louis Cardinals with her dad and in turn developed a love for softball and a position behind the plate. A combination of fearlessness, trust and pure grit is held in that incredibly important catcher’s position, and those life skills prepared Sara and her family for the biggest game of their lives.   athletic boys into the world, Wil and Wyatt. that wasn’t necessarily in the av- erage kid. They witnessed a work ethic and drive that they both were willing to fuel as parents if  that life threw them a curveball as Sara was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.      to their minds as it would with anyone hearing those words.


But her former athletic mindset and the passion in her boys’ eyes fueled her to move past those fears, grind out chemotherapy, radi-  she was cancer-free in 2019, and God showed her His plan and her purpose. She wanted to set an example for her boys, who were 11 and seven at the time of her diagnosis, that “sometimes the things
