developers must be aware of the ethical considerations surrounding their work in. Privacy concerns arise from the vast amounts of sensitive patient data required to train AI models, while algorithmic bias could potentially exacerbate existing healthcare disparities. T e concentration of AI development among a few large corporations also raises questions about equitable access to these technologies across diff erent healthcare settings.(9) As AI becomes increasingly integrated
into pharmacy workfl ows - from drug interaction checking to personalized medication regimens - understanding these issues is crucial for making informed decisions and advocating for responsible AI use. Pharmacists must be vigilant in evaluating AI tools for potential biases and ensuring they align with ethical standards of patient care and data protection. Pharmacists need to stay informed about the latest developments from major AI companies so they can anticipate how their roles may evolve. A thorough understanding of the forces driving this technology will be critical to navigating the opportunities and challenges this transformative technology brings to the profession.
