Seminars Throughout the conference, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a va- riety of seminars designed to encourage spiritual growth, practical ministry, and fel- lowship. Emily Woodard, ARP Women’s Ministries Spiritual Life Chair, led a semi- nar introducing the denomination’s recommended ARP Women’s Study Book for the coming year, Union with Christ: Foundations for Study by Sinclair Ferguson. Rev. Dr. Steve Adamson, president of Erskine College & Seminary, presented Learning Christ: Union with Christ and the Making of Disciples, exploring the relation- ship between union with Christ and Christian discipleship. An ARP 101 seminar pro- vided an introduction to the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and its history, beliefs, and ministries. Additional seminars addressed a variety of topics, including evangelism with
Rev.Morrie Lawing, creative fellowship through wreath making, and ideas for host- ing a Jubilee Birthday Party. Together, these sessions provided practical encourage- ment and meaningful opportunities for learning, service, and connection throughout the week.
Activities The conference offered a full schedule of activities and fellowship opportunities for attendees of all ages. Children participated in morning and evening classes led by a team from Ebenezer ARP Church, while the youth program was directed by Roddey Smith of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina. Throughout the week, families enjoyed numerous opportunities for fellowship, including an Ice Cream at the amphitheater. Recreational activities included a snow cones. One afternoon, attendees also enjoyed the conference zipline and climbing tower. For those seeking a quieter pace, rocking chairs throughout the grounds provided a welcoming place to relax and en- joy the conference setting. Family Bible Conference offered something for ev- eryone, from rich biblical teaching and practical semi- nars to opportunities for worship, fellowship, and fam- ily fun. The week encouraged attendees to grow deeper in their union with Christ and to live out that union through unity, service, worship, and discipleship. The Silver Tea was hosted by Virginia Pres- byterial. The Silver Tea is a fundraiser by Women’s Ministries for Synodical Hall. ARP Women’s Ministries owns Synodical Hall and is in charge of all maintenance and upkeep. While the Silver Tea used to be a formal event, men and children are now invited to enjoy the treats and punch provided by a different Presbyterial each year. The theme this year was Red, White, and Blue in celebration of the 250th year of the USA.
