Jimmy Mack Combs November 18, 1945 -- October 18, 2024

WHEREAS: In the providence of God who has brought, to a close the life of Jimmy Mack Combs, a member of New Amity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Scotts, North Carolina. We, commend him to the Lord, who knows best with our sincere prayers. The officers and members of the church express their sympathy to the family in the passing of Jimmy.

WHEREAS: Jimmy was an elder and reverent man who loved the Lord. He was a retired lineman with Southern Bell, for 37 years; of faithful service. As a faithful servant, worker and witness to the Lord, he brought joy to life in good times, comfort in difficult times and a servant at all times. “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” Romans 8:14

WHEREAS, BE IT RESOLVED: That we bow in humble submission to Him who never makes a mistake and remind the family to be encouraged by remembering: Blessed be his life, as modeled in; 2 Peter 1:5-7. As a church elder, he was a person who held a position of authority and responsibility, with devotion in his church's work. We, valued the wisdom that he shared to God, his family, grandchildren, church and the surrounding communities.

WHEREAS, BE IT RESOLVED: To his family, we have known that we cannot fill the emptiness from his departure. We offer our sincere thanks for the life of our Christian friend, Jimmy Mack Combs: and for his shared love and friendship.

BE IT THEREFORE KNOWN: A copy of this resolution be given to the Combs family and a copy to be placed in publication, in The ARP magazine. Submitted, on November 10, in this year of our Lord 2024; by the officers and members of the New Amity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 127, Scotts, North Carolina.
