Career Growth and Credentialing Resources
Beyond the learning, networking and business op- portunities, NIRI2024 offered resources to help IROs advance their careers and earn respected credentials. Te Career Development Hub provided a forum
where attendees leveraged a unique opportunity to interact with IR veterans. Te space was designed to facilitate networking and discussion of career trajectories and pathways to success. IR professionals also learned about the criteria for earning the IRC and other NIRI credentials, the IRC exam, networked with IRC-credentialed peers, and more.
Inspiration and Work Culture Te conference ended on a high note with an inspiring presentation from Garry Ridge, Te Culture Coach and Chairman Emeritus WD-40 Company, who spoke about “Te Art of Building Engaged, World-Class Cultures: It’s All About the People.” He explained how the personal journey of every
servant leader and the philosophy they develop is critical, noting that the emotional connection of a greater purpose creates high engagement. Ridge believes it is important to carefully and consciously choose values that will be embedded in all aspects of leadership and employee development. Investing in people who invest in themselves is
a secret to succession planning and greater organi- zational capability, he advised.
