Welcome New Approved Centers


APT welcomes two new Approved Centers of Play Therapy Education! Congratulations to Child Trauma and Play Therapy Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and Institute for Play Therapy Education at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. In earning a designation as an Approved Center, both universities demonstrated offering extensive play therapy curriculum to mental health faculty, students, and practitioners.

Congratulations 2020 Gold Branches


Congratulations to this year’s 29 Gold Branch Award recipients! Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona,  Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New England, New Mexico, Ohio,


Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming achieved Gold Branch status for 2020.


Branches earn Gold status by meeting the 100-point minimum measured by a number of networking opportunities, play therapy workshops, community outreach activities, and engagement with members. Branches, thank you for your leadership!
