ADA Fluoridation Facts New Edition Released


Fluoridation Facts is the ADA’s premier resource on fluorida- tion, answering frequently asked questions about community water fluoridation and the latest scientific research. This advocacy tool, developed by the expert members of the National Fluoridation Advisory Committee, assists policy makers and the general public in making informed decisions about fluoridation. With an easy-to-use question-and-answer format, the book answers queries about fluoridation’s effec- tiveness, safety, practice and cost-effectiveness.


WHAT’S NEW IN THIS EDITION


 Ten new Q&A (69 Q&A total; 114 pages).  More than 400 unique/different references. References cited in each section are located at the end of that section (instead of all at the back as in the previous edition). Where available, each reference is linked to its abstract in PubMed or the publication itself.

Missouri DDS Releases Semi-Annual Report I


n its semi-annual report featuring activities from July 1–December 31, 2017, the Missouri Donated Dental Services (DDS) program highlights:


 155 patients served and $357,647 in treatment donated thus far.  Expanded veterans pilot program statewide.  Recruited 7 new volunteer dentists.  $9.75 worth of care donated for every $1 spent supporting volunteers.
