Just like that slow casual time on our boat, we can encourage our fellow community members and neighbors to slow down, enjoy the views that we work so hard to create! Let us explore ways to encourage people to slow down by looking at walking paths, benches, playgrounds, bicycles and take a deeper look into ways to compel people to slow down.

Traffic simply says that you live in a vibrant community, full of people on the move and living life. Let’s give them some good reasons to slow down.

Encourage the use of our common areas, look for places to increase our no wake zones by giving people an interesting place to walk around. We spend thousands of dollars a year on trees, bushes, flowers and lawn maintenance. Invite people out to see our landscapes and give them a way to see to our best views. Consider strategically placed park benches and installing pathways to get to your best features. Pathways don’t have to be expensive pavement or even gravel, just a marked path on the grass leading to a bench under a shade tree is extremely inviting.
