Around the State 50 Year Club Honorees 2022


The Missouri Bankers Association’s 50 Year Club honors bankers who have dedicated 50 years of service to the banking industry. MBA is pleased to recognize these bankers for their commitment to their customers and their communities.


Patricia M. Miles Teller BTC Bank, Bethany


Born and raised in Bethany, Patricia Miles joined Bethany Trust Company, now BTC Bank, as a bookkeeper in 1966. She took some time off for a few years to raise her daughter and returned to the bank when her daughter started school. Miles hasn’t slowed down since that time, working in many departments at BTC Bank throughout the past 50 years. In addition to bookkeeper, her positions throughout the years include teller, new accounts/ CDs/IRAs, ensured FDIC coverage for customers and a stint with general ledger balancing. Miles also worked with student lending, bonds and accounting, audits and garnishments.


She and her husband, Clyde, have enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Tey have one daughter and a granddaughter.


Frank Oswald Vice President BTC Bank, Boonville


Estil F. Oswald III (Frank) grew up on a farm near Blackwater. He attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg and began his banking career at Farmers’ Stock Bank in Blackwater in 1972 while farming part time on the side. In September 1999,


Oswald began to work at Citizens Community Bank in Pilot Grove and Blackwater as a commercial, ag and consumer lender. Aſter working several years at Citizens Community Bank, Oswald joined BTC Bank. For the past seven years, he has served as vice president and business development officer for the Boonville and Beaman locations.


His wife of nearly 22 years, Lillian, also worked in the banking industry in the area for many years. Oswald has two daughters and four grandchildren.


Glora Turner Teller


Sullivan Bank Glora Turner began her banking career at the Bank of Sullivan, now Sullivan Bank, on Feb. 16, 1971. She worked full-time until her 50th anniversary Feb. 16, 2021. Turner continues to work a flexible schedule, covering at least one day a week and during employee absences. She has worked in various departments and always brought very detailed and accurate skills to her work. Tis has served her well when working in the proof department and as assistant teller supervisor before her full- time retirement.


She and her husband, Jim, have two daughters. Tey love spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren.
