VOICES Meet NPM’s New Forum Chairs

Joe Bazyouros

Chair, Forum for Membership

Joe Bazyouros is a native of Los Angeles, where he lives with his

wife and four children—all between the ages of one and seven. He has served in full-time ministry for 15 years, both in parishes and campus ministry settings. Joe has a background in voice, choral conducting and piano, and he is currently the Director of Music at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles. He loves swimming and hiking, which, he says, “is probably why I never left LA, since there are ample places to do both of those year-round!” Like all of us, he is “looking forward to my choirs returning, and to the bustle of activity that usually fills the day-to-day life of our Cathedral.”

Asked how he sees his leadership in this important Forum, he says, “I see my role as the chief ambassador

40

for NPM to non-members and organizations, as well as the point of contact for all of our members when they have questions. Te Membership Forum is here to serve you, and to help our organization and our local chapters thrive! NPM is an amazing organization that brings together musicians from all over the country and beyond. It is my hope that I can help bring NPM to more pastoral musicians that are still unaware of what we have to offer.”

Preston Dibble

Chair, Forum for Programming and Certification

Preston currently serves as Organist

and Director of Music for Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange, NJ and is Diocesan Director of Music for the Diocese of Paterson. He is a Pittsburgh native—a wonderful city, and source of many pastoral musicians serving all over the United States. Being
