A 30-year hospitality industry veteran and leader, Shawna Snyder was promoted to vice president of national accounts. Snyder is known for setting the tone for Avanti’s chain department with business strategies and procedures. She also oversees the dealer’s chain account teams and promotes its forward-thinking culture and vision to clients.

With more than a decade of experience in accounting and fi nance, his leadership is essential to connecting Avanti’s operational and fi nancial divisions and driving initiatives to propel Avanti forward.


Culinary Depot Culinary Depot, a dealer based in Spring Valley, New York, has hired Moshe Czapnik as its new director of outside sales. Czapnik will be responsible for overseeing the company’s existing outside


sales team and spearheading efforts to establish a presence in new territories nationwide. Before joining Culinary Depot, Czapnik was the CEO of MC Consulting and a sales manager at Mint Capital, a mortgage broker. He also previously served as the director of operations for Workspace, a provider of coworking offi ce spaces. At Culinary Depot, Czapnik’s expertise will be focused toward making sure the dealer meets the needs of customers with a localized sales approach.

proven track record in sales leadership, he is the perfect addition to our team as we continue to expand across the U.S.,” Culinary Depot said.


Hatco


After 30 years at Hatco and 20 as president and CEO, Dave Rolston retired from the manufacturer on Friday, April 5. Lorne Deacon, who has already been serving as president since 2022, has taken over the CEO role, completing a succession plan that has been in progress for two years.


Although he is retiring as CEO, Rolston will remain involved with Hatco as a

member of the company’s board of directors. Rolston joined Hatco as a sales engineer in 1994, eventually working his way up to president and CEO in 2004. A self-proclaimed ESOP (employee stock ownership plan) enthusiast, Rolston helped oversee the FEDA manufacturer member’s transition to a 100-percent employee-owned company when it acquired second- generation owner David Hatch’s share of the business in 2007.


In 2022, Hatco announced Rolston would retire within two years and named Deacon his eventual successor. Rolston has spent much of his time since facilitating a smooth transition of leadership for Hatco’s 800 employee-owners. Deacon joined Hatco in 2018 as director of global marketing and product development. He was promoted to vice president of global marketing in 2019, vice president in 2021 and president in 2022. Deacon has a degree in business marketing from the Haworth School of Business at Western Michigan University and an executive master’s degree in business administration from the Lubar College of

Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He started his career in the banking and fi nancial sector then joined the foodservice industry in 2013, which led to leadership roles at Middleby Corporation.

Hoshizaki America announced several additions to its sales team and promotions within its organization. Steve Wright was


promoted to manager, strategic dealers after two years with the company. His experience in the foodservice industry spans 26 years and he is a certifi ed foodservice professional (CFSP).
