Craft these unique fall vases by cut- ting off the tops of squash and filling them with your fa- vorite, bold colored flowers. Each vase should be a one-of- a-kind.


Grab a few stray branches from your yard and add them to a potted planter. String a few col- ored holiday lights over the branches for an added glow on your patio.


Turn your bird bath into a beauti- ful birdseed feed- er by hollowing out a pumpkin and filling it with seeds.

At the Teaching kitchen where I work we teach kids – Tiny Chefs and Teen chefs - that cooking is for everyone! We are firm believ- ers in getting the kids in the kitchen as early as possible and getting them involved in meals, snacks and baking! There can be no better way to communicate with family than around the table in the kitchen!


In addition to teaching our kids or grand kids that they need to make good choices in life – they also need to know to make good choices when it comes to what they eat. Take the time to try out some of these snacks and even create some of your own. The kids will love spending time together and you will both en- joy the best part – eating!


Graham Crackers with cream cheese and the rest is a blank pallet! Pretzels make good stems and the pumpkin seeds and mint leaves make good leaves the fruit makes the flowers. Use any fruit you like!


Muffins are a great way to introduce baking – zucchini muffins are yummy. Banana muf- fins too! Remember to make them healthy

Toast is popular, avocado toast for teens and fruit toast for younger ones. Make it look like a flag!


Fruit kabobs – anything on a skewer is fun to eat. So load them up with fruit or veggies and serve with a dip. Fruit with yogurt dip and veggies with ranch.
