“Thou shalt make thy prayer unto Him, and He shall hear thee...” (Job 22:27)

“Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” (Psalm 55:17)

God hears every single prayer. That’s right. He listens to the prayers of grandmothers, grandfathers, moms and dads, and even the tini- est kindergartner! You don’t have to be considered “important” in the world’s eyes for God to listen to you. It doesn’t matter how old you are, what school you go to, or where you live. God loves to hear the voices of each and every one of his children. God hears the long prayers, the short prayers, the prayers for Aunt Flora’s lost cat and the prayers about the upcoming test at school. No prayer request is too large, and no prayer request is too small! You can talk to God for thirty minutes during the car ride to your grandparents’ house and - ball game. God listens to both of those!

God always answers! His answer may not be what you expect, but if you are a child of God, you can trust that everything your Heavenly Father does is for your good. So pray a lot! God is ready to listen 24/7. Yet as you lift up your re- quests to God, don’t forget to praise him for his awesomeness. After all, he created the entire universe in six days! It’s also important to confess your sins to God. You are a sinner, and you need a savior.  absolutely everything we have, and we should thank Him. The sun- shine, the rain, the loved ones who surround us, the food in our bel- lies... God’s blessings are endless. His greatest blessing to us is the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, who came to save us from our sins. “Every good and perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17).

It helps to remember the A.C.T.S. prayer form: Adoration (Praising God for his greatness) Confession (admitting your many sins to God, turning away from them, and asking for forgiveness)

Thanksgiving (Thanking God for all that He has done for you) Supplication (asking God for what you need)

In Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus gives us an example of the perfect way to pray. It is called The Lord’s Prayer. Read it and study it! Then, gather some friends and or family members and spend some time praying together.
