There are lies in our culture but we have truth to offer to a world that is swimming in lies. We can look forward to the coming of Christ.” “We should be motivated for evangelism and church planting. We should be praying for revival. Let’s go to the ends of the Earth but also down the street to our neighbors,” Carver said.

Business continued with Memorials from First Presbytery being referred to a Moderator’s Committee and Revisions respectfully. The Memorial from Tennes- see-Alabama Presbytery passed to allow New Days congregation to join the Ten- nessee-Alabama Presbytery. A previous motion was read again in detail about FOG 5.2 and 5.4 (Women Deacons). There was a call for a quorum count which did pass by three ministers. The motion did not pass. Outreach North America presented their report hearing testimonies from

Church Planters, Scott Mitchell, Mark Nelsen, and Jeff Tell. The William H. Dunlap Orphanage report encourages all presbyteries, sessions

and congregations to participate in this ministry by giving to the ARP Adoption As- sistance Fund as a practical statement of the denomination’s stance on the value of human life. It was noted by Chairman Robbie Bell that Dunlap does not receive as- sistance from General Synod’s Denominational Ministry Fund or Special offering. A brief report was heard from Erskine College & Seminary Chairman Mike Whitehurst. The Executive Board report includes the approval to update the ARP- church.org website, and add the Executive Director of Central Services as an advi- sory member on both the Board of Brice-Sanders Foundation and the Committee on Conferences.

One item the Executive Board didn’t handle in their report are allegations

against Tom Shoger by Seth Yi. The following motions were made and passed: • That the General Synod take original jurisdiction over the allegations against Mr. Tom Shoger as Second Presbytery requested.

• That the Moderator appoint investigators to investigate the allegations against Mr. Tom Shoger.

The Brice-Sanders Foundation/Camp Joy report was presented by Chairman Bob Elliott and Executive Director Jeff Lesslie. “The Lord continues to call the equipped and equip the called with this great ministry of His. Thank you for your prayers and support,” Lesslie said. The Board of Stewardship report included a thank you to Chairman David Lauten for eight years of service. The report also encourages churches to contrib- ute to the Denominational Ministry Fund for the glory of God and the advance- ment of the Gospel.              Christmas Benevolent Fund which is taken up during Thanksgiving. This fund supports those in need who have served our church. The report provided updates to the medical and dental plans from the previous year. The Committee on Nominations report expresses appreciation for those who submitted nominations, and for those who were nominated and are will- ing to serve.

Rob Roy McGregor, Jr, the oldest attending delegate, made the motion to ad- journ the 220th meeting of the General Synod of the ARP Church.
