featured CCCA member benefit An Advocate for Member Ministries

How oſten do you think about government regulations that impact your ministry? It can be overwhelming to advocate for your ministry when a bill is proposed or a law is passed that will negatively affect your camp or conference center. As you navigate government regulations, you are not alone, you have an advocate. CCCA has hired Ascend Consulting, a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm to advocate on behalf of our members. Tis relationship with Ascend Consulting exists for the purpose of:

• Staying aware of laws and regulations that may change how CCCA members can conduct their ministries.

• Advising members about how to appeal to lawmakers or government entities for the best possible outcomes.

• Influencing lawmakers on key legislation that may impact Christian camp operations.

• Positioning CCCA and its members as subject-matter-experts with government agencies and officials on issues impacting kids and families.

Te government relations team at Ascend is dedicated to advancing CCCA’s goals through strate- gic advocacy, stakeholder engagement and diligent legislative monitoring. On behalf of CCCA, Ascend is currently executing strategic, agile and impactful Capitol Hill advocacy regarding the Kids Online Safety Act. Tey will advance CCCA’s profile and priorities as the team continues to support the Senate and House KOSA bills in the 118th Congress. Watch for the next Government Advocacy Workshop to engage in a conversation that helps

equip CCCA members to advocate for their ministries and Christian camping in both the state and federal governments.
