Guardian Vets 1. Provides call service to triage after hours calls • Licensed technician and or veterinarian answer the call i. Logs call for your information to follow up tomorrow • Can offer referral if deemed an emergency
2. Has some new offerings • Telemedicine, can help schedule appointments, curbside check in etc

• What KVMA currently does for students – A review 1. LMU first year – KVMA Foundation - $100.00 2. Tuskegee first year – KVMA Foundation - $100.00 • White Coats – 2-3 Ky students each year.
3. Auburn first year – KVMA Foundation - $100.00 sent to the Auburn bookstore as credit for each first year. • Auburn Foundation – Interest from KVMA Wells Fargo account yearly i. Auburn puts KVMA logo on KY resident white coats ii. ~$2000 a year
4. All other KY Grads attending other Universities – KVMA Foundation - $100.00 – contacted by pre-vet advisors.
5. Considering something additional for new members • New member - KVMA packet – items i. Expensed out of PR budget ii. Motion to provide personalized gift for new members not to exceed $50 per member (Smith); 2nd (Redmon) VOTE: APPROVED
• First Year Vet Student year swag bag i. Motion to provide swag bag to first year vet students to exceed ~$500 per class (Smith); 2nd (Redmon) VOTE: APPROVED
• DVM checklist for clinics 1. New Associate Recommendations • Collaborative effort with KBVME and KVMA 2. Plan for addition checklist as topics arise
E. Dr. Debra Shoulders • Auburn discussion with Glen Sellers – AUCVM USDA Rural Veterinary KY Grant 1. Mr. Sellers teaches Large Animal Anesthesia and Practice Management • Takes 6-8 students to evaluate and learn from practices across the southeast 2. Plan to offer a Breakfast with Glen Sellers at the Mid-America Conference
