BOARD SPOTLIGHT: MATTHEW MCGLASSON, DVM, CVPM BOARD MEMBER FOR NKYVMA – NORTHERN KENTUCKY VMA
I was raised in Northern Kentucky on a family farm and graduated from Conner High School in Hebron, KY. I obtained my BS in Biological Science from the Uni- versity of Mississippi in 1999.
I graduated from Auburn University in 2003, and worked at a small animal practice in Martinsville, Virginia for a year. I then worked at Pewee Valley Veterinary Center in Oldham County, KY, for three years prior to moving back to Northern Kentucky and joining Noah’s Ark Animal Clinics.
I currently serve as the Chief Medical Officer of Noah’s Ark Animal Clinics. We have four locations in Greater Cincinnati (two in Kentucky and two in Ohio) and 24 full-time DVMs. I am a Fear-Free Certified Practitioner as well as a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. I am passionate about mentoring new doctors and helping them grow in all aspects of life (professional, personal, and financial). Positive leadership, practice culture, and building lifelong leaders in the profession are all areas of veterinary medicine that I am most focused on.
I have a wonderful wife, Margaux, and four children. We currently have three dogs and two rescue cats. (Tere is often a foster kitten staying with us as well, depending on the week.) I spend my free time doing CrossFit, watching my kids’ soccer games and color guard competitions, hiking, reading, and visiting Disney World WAY too often with my family.
