Rick, Jr. and Nicole have four children: Brookelyn 8, Prezleigh 5, Ashtyn 2, and last, but not least, a boy, Kingston, 6 months. The kids love coming to the farm for rides on the John Deere Gators and taking turns riding in the big tractor with their Dad. We could possibly be looking at a sixth-generation farmer and a fifth-generation sod farmer. We may be TPI’s longest, continuously growing, sod families in the world.
Rick, Jr. is proud of his family and family heritage—100 years and still growing strong. Tat passion is still in the blood.
Rick Pump Jr. and family gather for this photo by the ATV, one of their kids' favorites for rides around the sod farm.
Rick Pump, Sr., and his wife Marlene, now retired, help their son Rick, Jr. and his wife Nicole, at Coon Creek Sod Farms, LLC, in Hampshire, Illinois. The family has a history of farming in Northern Illinois since 1867 and sod farming since 1919.
