2018 DR. HENRY W. INDYK SCHOLARSHIP
Applications for the 2018 Dr. Henry W. Indyk Scholarship are now being accepted by The Lawn Institute. The award was established by The Lawn Institute (TLI) Board of Trustees in 2006 to honor a founding father of Turfgrass Producers International (TPI) and to help to mitigate the rising costs of college and post-graduate education. It is available to all Class A and B TPI members, their family members, their employees and their employees' family members who are pursuing higher education. Applications are due January 5, 2018. TPI HONORS AND AWARDS PROGRAM
Do you know a deserving individual who should be recognized for contributions to the industry? If so, please consider nominating them for recognition through the TPI Awards Program.
The program acknowledges the tremendous contributions of deserving individuals in several categories based on nominations submitted by their peers. Award categories include: TPI’s Honorary Member Award, Distinguished Service Award, Innovator of the Year Award, and Turfgrass Educator Award of Excellence.
FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR EDUCATION CONFERENCE
There will be a variety of fun opportunities to support The Lawn Institute during the 2018 International Education Conference & Field Day in Tucson. Activities planned include: a clay shooting tournament, 50/50 drawings, a silent auction with western-themed baskets, and a series of gun raffles. Don’t miss your chance to win while supporting TLI!
TPI HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS
TPI is assisting in the rebuilding efforts of communities affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma in the southern United States. While the storms have passed, we know that it will take time, effort, and funds to fully recover from these events. Therefore, TPI has started a fund and would like to provide financial support for the families, employees, and communities affected in turfgrass production regions.
