Our Online General Meetings
After much prayer and consideration, the Directors have decided that it is not possible to plan a live gathering this year. At the time of this writing, the border is still not open, and restrictions in some areas have drastically increased within the past weeks. However, we are still required to have an annual meeting of our members, so we will once again accomplish these meetings online.
There are three organizations represented within our Fellowship: FEBC Canada, FEBC U.S., and FEBC Interna- tional. Each of these three organizations has an Annual General Meeting, which is typically held during Connect (our annual gathering).
Like last year, the two national meetings will be held concurrently in the morning. There will be a break for lunch, and then the international meeting will be held in the afternoon.
It is vitally important that each of our churches appoints delegates to these meetings, so that we can address the business of our Fellowship.
Following are some details: The AGMs will be held via Zoom video conference on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
The two national AGMs will occur the morning of Saturday, July 10, at 11:00AM CDT. Regional times:
• 11:00am — KS, MB, MI, MN, NE, OK, ON, SD •
10:00am — AB, MT, SK • 9:00am — BC, OR
Then in the afternoon, we will hold our international AGM at 2PM CDT Regional times: • • •
2:00pm — KS, MB, MI, MN, NE, OK, ON, SD 1:00pm — AB, MT, SK 12:00pm — BC, OR
Voting delegates must register ahead of time (twice — once for the appropriate national meeting and once for the international meeting). Complete login and voting instructions will be sent to all churches before the meetings. Registra- tions should be submitted no later than Sunday, July 4.
As local restrictions allow, we encourage each church
to join the meeting in a group setting. This will allow you to have conversations together and connect over lunch between the national and international meetings. We hope this will be a time of fellowship and encouragement. Per- haps multiple churches in one area could even meet in the same location.
These virtual meetings cannot offer all the excitement, training, and connection of our “live” gatherings, but we
will attempt to make them as interesting, informative, and helpful as possible. It is important that we as a Fellow- ship recognize what we are doing and how we plan to succeed in the next year. Please consider setting aside this day to connect, learn, and participate in our Fellowship of churches.
