Nominations Our Mission: “Joining our hands to strengthen His church”

The FEBC cannot function without volunteer leaders from within our own churches. By now, your church should have already received nomination forms.

The nomination process benefits the Fellowship, but it also benefits your church. Serving on one of these teams builds leadership skills and a broader understanding of Christian ministry, which can serve your local

church for years to come. Nominees will be voted on at our online Annual General Meeting, and nominations are due by Monday, June 21.

All nominees must have been a member of an FEBC church for at least two years and be nominated by their local elders. Nominees to the Board of Directors and Commission on Churches must be elder-qualified.

e FEBC depends on our churches to provide leadership. We cannot function without laypeople and pastors who are willing to serve on the FEBC team. Please consider whether you or someone you know might be qualified to “strengthen His church” by serving in one of these ways.

Ways to Serve:

Board of Directors Provides future-oriented direction and spiritual

leadership over all the activities of the Fellowship, enabling it to accomplish its purpose, mission, and vision. It is responsible for the business administra- tion of the Fellowship — its properties, funds, and investments; preparation of the annual FEBC budget; represents the national Fellowship in legal matters of property, trusts, investments, etcetera.

Commission on Churches Applies the Fellowship Articles of Faith to clergy

licensing and ordination; assists and advises churches seeking pastors; encourages pastoral church leadership development; advises and assists member churches in their exercise of Biblical discipline.

Commission on Church Planting Seeks to establish new churches in North Ameri-

ca independently or in cooperation with the regional FEBC Extension Committees or local churches; has oversight responsibility for church planting ministries and subsidized churches. Active in any formation of a Regional Extension Committee.

Commission on Education Assesses curriculum and educational tools and ad-

vises the churches in their use; serves as a resource for a variety of educational ministries to children, youth, and adults; manages a Christian education scholarship program; develops and provides webinar training; develops and produces Fellowship publications.

Commission on Global Partnerships Promotes world missions to the FEBC church-

es; encourages and assists active and retired FEBC missionaries; makes contact with prospective FEBC missionaries; recommends acceptance of initial and returning missionaries; encourages FEBC churches to be actively engaged in the support of global partners.

Commission on Pastoral Care Provides encouragement, support, and prayer for

pastors and their wives; provides opportunities for pas- tor renewal and enrichment; promotes fellowship and spiritual growth among FEBC pastors and wives.
