At the end of March, our church
put together a one-day ladies' retreat, where we showed three different videos from a website called Revive Our Hearts. (They have videos from their past conferences available). Following the first two videos, ladies broke into small groups with discussion questions. They then had a lunch break where quite a few of the women went out for lunch — because of COVID-19 restrictions we could not serve food at the church. It was so nice to have this time and to be able to visit face-to-face. The last video was the testimony of a woman named Rachel Barkey, who was dy- ing from cancer. Following the video, the ladies stayed together as a group to talk about it. Twelve ladies attend, and they were encouraged by just being able to be together.
Last year for Father’s Day, our
social committee handed out bottles of sweet and sticky barbecue sauce with a Bible verse that went with it: “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” (Prov. 16:24, niv).
Our church is excited about be-
ing able to hire the same intern that we had this past year. Noah Wieler is starting in May as a part-time associate pastor. We hope to be able to move this position from part-time to full-time.

rooms, new carpet, additional and updated bathrooms, lighter paint- ed walls, built-in coat rack, and an actual coffee bar with storage and a sink. We sure have been blessed with many talented trades and design people who have volunteered so much of their time for this!
Our church has been planning
a trip to Israel in 2022. It has been postponed a year due to restrictions — it was originally supposed to take place in February of 2021. It’d be a fantastic opportunity experiencing the Holy Land with fellow church members.

www.grunthalemb.com Despite the challenges that this
year of restrictions has had on us as individuals and as a body of believ- ers, many exciting things are hap- pening at our church. God is good and there is much to be thankful for.
Since restrictions have lifted a
little, we have gone from one to two services. A huge praise item is that we have had many new families join our church during this time. People in this community are hungry for God’s Word! Pastor Jared uploads the sermons to our church YouTube channel, so those who are at home can watch as well.
On Sunday mornings we are
working through (doing exegesis) on the entire book of Ephesians. It has been great!
The renovations are complete
on the main floor (see photo above) and they are just finishing up in the basement. Not only does it look fantastic, but it’s so much more functional now. To name a few of the changes: larger Sunday school
Every Wednesday evening, we
come together for prayer meeting. Prayer is one of the core values of our church and something we, as believ- ers, need to do without ceasing.
We recently voted on the
introduction of a new position in our church for a “Fellowship Pastor.” There was a 95% approval for this. We’re very excited to see who God has called to this important position. Another topic that will be coming up to vote on is the possibility of chang- ing our church’s name.
Praise be to God for His sover-
eignty and provision over us! Jennifer Preston,

Vita Bible Church Vita, Manitoba Jonathan Coutts, Pastor
www.vitabiblechurch.com In an attempt to keep people
safe from COVID-19, the Manitoba government changed the rules for faith based gatherings every few weeks. From November to February, Jon Klassen recorded Pastor Coutts’s sermons and the music was record- ed separately. In February, we were allowed 35 people in the building, so a few people met for a service on Saturdays, which was recorded for
