online viewing. After four months of online church services, we finally met together on March 7 with pews spread apart and masks in place. It was so good to see each other! With new regulations as of April 28, we will plan to hold parking lot services.
Since we are not allowed to
have Sunday School, the service has included an object lesson or a story for the children which has been arranged by Jane Roman and Yvonne Penner
Unfortunately, most church
programs have been shut down during this time. The youth met once in April. They enjoyed their time outside (according to the law) with prayer in small groups and a snowball fight (thanks to our spring storm). A handful of men contin- ue to meet for prayer at 6:00 am on Wednesday mornings. As the government changes the rules for outdoor gatherings, the men change their location for prayer. For two months, they met around a campfire at Pastor Jonathan’s house. To keep up with the ever changing regula- tions, they now moved to a campfire on the church parking lot.

www.salemchurch.ca Over the last few months, the
Saskatchewan provincial restrictions have changed several times, mean- ing that our leadership is constantly praying about how to respond and how to support our church family. Our youth groups and prayer meet- ings have been able to continue as they have been able to fit within our restrictions, but our other weekly
programming has been paused due to the sizes of those groups.
Our Evangelism & Missions
Committee has been praying about new initiatives, and has begun a few “Advance Teams” for our church. These teams exist to provide support, motivation, inspiration, and accountability for those on the teams who are wanting to evange- lize according to Jesus’ command. This aligns well with our purpose, which is to “Make Disciples of Jesus Christ,” and our vision, “Becoming a Proclaiming People.”
As we begin to look ahead to
the summer months and prepare for fall, our prayer is for new initia- tives and a new passion ignited in the hearts of our church family as a whole. We also pray that we will stand united as believers of Christ as we follow the call to make disci- ples in all age groups.

www.graceabbotsford.com Life here at Grace Church has
settled in to a ‘new normal,’ although our days are filled with the longing to gather together once again. The faithfulness of the Grace Church community is shown by its forging forward and doing what we can, in-person (which is quite limit- ed) and online, to meet with one another.
The worship team is very dili-
gent to prepare for our live services and lead us in worship just as if we were there — something that can’t always be easy when there is no one sitting in front of you. The pastoral staff is keeping tabs on the
congregation and connecting where we can with interactive sermons, online greeters for our livestream services, emailing out coloring pages for the kids, phone calls, emails and more — all of which contain an added dose of cheer as the church family is doing what they can to bring encouragement to the hearts of the church community.
There have also been meals
dropped off, flowers delivered, park visits and video calls made for those who are facing unique challenges on top of the rest of the strangeness that life has brought our way this past year.
One of our highlights the past
season was the surprise gift bags giv- en to the children of the church and community this Easter — complete with a storybook and chocolate!
Grace Church is full of amazing
people who are faithful to encourage and give where they can. Praise God for the arms, feet, ears and elbows that help keep the body functioning!

www.dalmenybiblechurch.ca Restrictions allowed us to open
with 150 people for four Sundays over the Easter season, which was such a blessing. As I write this we are once again closed due to further restrictions, but are allowed to meet together for two services with no more than 30 people at each one. Our services are recorded and avail- able to see on YouTube.
We are planning to have Soccer
Camp for children at the end of July, which is run by Athletes in Action.
