MEMBERINNORWAY COLLECTING LAMBORGHINI AUTOMOBILIA
10-year-old boy looks in disbe- lief at a diecast model car, feel- ing a desperate need to own it. He’s mesmerized by the red paint and the accentuated shape of his dream car, and it takes a while
for the boy to slide back into reality. The model car doesn't cost much, but the contents of his simple wallet fall short. After two more days of scrimping to- gether pocket change, the young boy ea- gerly returns to the gas station to buy the model car, only to find that it has been sold. The heart-broken boy can't find any words, but his eyes speak volumes. I will never forget that experience. You see, those were my eyes seeing the red Countach on the shelf at the local gas station. I would later unwrap an identical model car that my father gave me. He didn't share my passion, but he realized how much it meant to me. In retrospect, this might have been the best Christmas present ever. The desire to surround myself with
everything Lamborghini has been with me ever since, and I find great joy and satisfaction in securing authentic items for my collection. Holding in my hands a
decades-old piece of Lamborghini history fills me with a sensation of being a “part of it all.” Additionally, when I think back to how I came across some of the items I have, it puts a smile on my face. Being in the right place at the right time is a cliché, but it is so for a reason. Apparent chance encounters can result in treas- ures finding their way to my address. My main focus has always been items
that were made by Lamborghini them- selves, such as brochures, postcards, car parts, and factory items. My goal is to own a Lamborghini, and I've been told that I could swap my collection for one, but I could never resort to that. This is my way of fueling my passion for Lamborghini. I would like to highlight a few historic Lamborghini treasures from my collection:
