Help Boost Play Therapy Awareness!
Will play therapy awareness reach an all-time high in 2018? We think so... but we need your help! APT will once again contract GfK Roper to poll American adults on their familiarity with the terms “play therapy” and “Registered Play Therapist” on March 24-25, 2018.
Increasing the public’s level of awareness and understanding of the importance of play, play therapy, and credentialed play therapists is an important part of the APT Mission, but we can’t do it alone. APT hit the ground running last year with several public awareness pushes, including a 6-minute TV segment on Ed Begley Jr.’s Innovations series, which had the potential of reaching over 85 million viewers across the country! Member participation during National Play Therapy Week, February 4-10, was a great way to kick off 2018! Now let’s keep that momentum going! Spread the word and help give an extra boost to play therapy awareness in your local communities!
Here are some ways to boost
awareness in your areas: Order and distribute our newly designed (FREE)Play Therapy Works brochures.
Offer a local workshop on play therapy with other play therapy colleagues.
Initiate local media interviews.
Ask local TV stations to play our new 30-second PSA: Play Therapy – Innovations with Ed Begley, Jr
Speak at local luncheons, meetings, and other events.
Hit that share button! Like and share posts from our Facebook and Twitter, and videos from our YouTube channel.
Share the Parents Corner from the APT website with parents and caregivers
