There are no right or wrong answers to the burning questions that perplex experienced play therapists and play therapy students, alike, but there are certainly some heated opinions to consider! Topics for
future columns will be released in PlayToday, and
POINT POINT COUNTER
THE MIDDLE GROUND
A new column, called “Point-Counterpoint- The Middle Ground” will feature play
therapist viewpoints on hotly-debated topics in play therapy.
authors will be encouraged to submit their opinion to Kathryn Lebby at APT,
klebby@a4pt.org in about 300 words, so the most representative submissions can be further developed and featured in the subsequent issue of Play Therapy Magazine.
Starting with the June 2018 issue of Play Therapy Magazine, three opinions will be published in each issue: one agreeing with the point, one providing a counterpoint to the topic or question, and one seeking the middle ground between the two ends of the response continuum. Responses from all current members of APT are encouraged, whether you’re just starting out or you have years of play therapy experience!
We hope these opinions will provide readers with interesting for discussion in your professional circles! The topic for June 2018 is: The use of toy guns in the playroom: for, against, or standing the middle ground?
We look forward to hearing YOUR opinions!
