LEADERSHIP From the CEO As we launch into 2018, our focus is on the

issue of relevance. How does APT stay relevant to our members, registrants, and the play therapy community in a culture of fast-paced technological change?

CEO Kathy Lebby, CAE, CMP

In addition to looking at industry trends, already begun to implement several changes.

APT counts on member participation in our Annual Member Survey to know which programs are valued and in which areas APT can improve. In response to the feedback received, we have Notably, the revised

e-newsletter, PlayToday, includes a wider range of topics that inform play therapy research, theory, and practice to stimulate member thought and discussion. Association news continues to keep members abreast of time-sensitive events to connect members to each other and to relevant training opportunities. Our social media posts will continue to highlight our members and registrants, and to create an atmosphere of engagement with our followers. Later this year, an updated, mobile-responsive website will launch to ease connectivity and on-the-go access. Your opinions really matter to us! APT is glad to hear that our efforts in

play therapy promotion, member communication, conference and online learning opportunities, and play therapy publications are well-received.  In closing, we do not take for granted your role in the successes
