Family 5K

CAI-Illinois kicked off its inaugural Family 5K, “Community Advocacy on the Run,” on the morning of October 4 at the Ginger Creek Pavilion in Oak Brook. The event brought together more than 115 participants—including runners, walkers, strollers, and families—all united by a shared commitment to supporting Illinois community associations.

A big congratulations to the challenge winners who rallied the most participants:

• Cantey Associates – Business Partner Challenge • Westward360 – Management Company Challenge

• 1357 Madison Park Condominium Association – Community Association Challenge

We also celebrate the following age-group medalists who crossed the finish line first:

Lainey Evans, Mason Hahn, Dante Bell, Avery Cafarelli, Ateeba Ahmed, Brandon Skoric, Francesca Nocchi, Drew Kolton, Keith Carandang, Emily Oltman, Joe Schutzius, Gina Rodriguez, Karen Skoric, Troy Welch, Kathleen Ross, and Thomas Ross.

Together, participants helped raise more than $11,000, with proceeds supporting CAI-IL’s legislative advocacy efforts. These funds help us continue to employ a lobbyist who represents and protects the interests of community associations in Springfield.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and cheered us on. Your energy and enthusiasm made this first-ever event a success—and set the pace for future community advocacy efforts to come!
