EXPLORING PARK CITY Historic Main Street
Once the center of a silver mining town, Park City’s Historic Main Street is now a cultural focal point that features more than 50 dining spots and shops that sell everything from cowboy boots to boutique books and fine art. A fan-favorite restaurant and bar is the No Name Saloon, best known for its rooftop dining experience that features great views of the Utah landscape. Visitors can also stop in for a stage show at the Egyptian Theatre or attempt to conjure a spirit with Park City Ghost Tours. More about the town’s history can be discovered at the Park City Museum, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for a $15 admission.
Jordanelle State Park Those interested in fresh air and beautiful views will find both at Jordanelle State Park. Located in the Heber Valley along the shores of the Jordanelle Reservoir, a Dark Sky destination, the park not only offers light-pollution-free stargazing, but also hiking, camping, fishing, and other recreational activities. The 6,704-acre park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. More information, including fees, is available at

Utah Olympic Park
The 2002 Winter Olympics helped make Utah a global destination for winter sports, and visitors can relive those moments at Utah Olympic Park, 3419 Olympic Parkway, Park City. The year-round facility features guided tours of Olympic venues, including the world’s highest Nordic ski jumps and one of the fastest sliding tracks. More adventurous visitors can take a ride down the park’s alpine slide or get a taste of Olympic competition with the bobsled experience. The park is also home to the Alf Engen Ski Museum, an interactive center that showcases the sport’s history. Admission to the museum is free and the hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Learn more at

The Crater at Homestead A hot spring experience more than 12,000 years in the making, the Crater at Homestead is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Park City. Located just 20 minutes from the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, the picturesque spring features a limestone dome that shelters mineral-rich waters that make for a great place for a therapeutic swim or to scuba dive. McPolin Farm Nature Trail Take a stroll on this easy, low-impact hike. The path is paved and several miles in length, allowing visitors to choose their own distance. Weaving through wildlife habitats and aspen groves, the path offers idyllic views of the surrounding nature and the McPolin barn, a 100-year-old historic landmark that once operated as part of a dairy farm. There is no cost to visit the barn or trailhead, although guided education tours at McPolin Barn are $10. Visit
