Bloomin’ Brands Bloomin’ Brands, the parent company of Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Bonefish Grill, announced several leadership changes.
Eric Christel has joined the company as executive vice
president and CFO, succeeding Michael Healy. Christel brings to the company nearly two decades of financial leadership across the food and beverage sector. Previously, he served as the senior vice president and CEO of The Campbell’s Company’s snacks division and several leadership roles at PepsiCo from 2007 to 2020.
Upon the conclusion of the CFO transition, Healy will assume the newly created role of executive vice president, strategy and transformation. In this position, he will lead the strategic initiatives central to Bloomin’ Brands’ turnaround effort, prioritizing Outback Steakhouse. Healy is a 16-year veteran of the company, possessing broad experience across operating and corporate finance, supply chain and brand leadership roles. “As we look to shape Bloomin’ Brands’ future, our priorities
are to simplify the business and consistently deliver a great guest experience while balancing our longer-term priorities to turn around Outback and drive sustainable sales and profit growth,” CEO Mike Spanos said. “Realigning our leadership team is a critical step in strengthening operational focus, agility and accountability.”
Dave & Buster’s Dave & Buster’s Entertainment appointed Tarun Lal as CEO and as a member of the board of directors. “After a careful and comprehensive search, the board is thrilled to announce Tarun as our next CEO,” said Kevin

Lal is a seasoned global executive with more than 25 years of experience at Yum! Brands, where he most recently served as president of KFC U.S. In this role, he led all aspects of the brand’s operations across the United States.
McDonald’s McDonald’s Canada has named Annemarie Swijtink as its new CEO and president. She succeeds Michèle Boudria who is retiring after 40 years with the international burger chain. Swijtink joins McDonald’s Canada after serving as managing
director of McDonald’s Netherlands since June 2022. She began her career as a McDonald’s restaurant crew member and moved to the McDonald’s Netherlands headquarters in 2006. “Having worked with Annemarie for many years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the impact she has had on our brand and our people,” Manu Steijaert, president of international operated markets, said in a statement. “Her leadership has not only led to the growth of the Dutch business, delivering exceptional results with regard to sales and market share, but her strategic vision and collaborative approach make her the perfect fit to build on the momentum and propel the brand in Canada into an exciting future.”
