Katie Royce, CFA, Begins Term as NIRI Chair; John Moten, IRC, Named NIRI Chair-Elect


Katie Royce, CFA, Chief Financial Officer at ZenBusiness, began her term as NIRI Chair in January 2023. The NIRI Board elected John Moten, IRC, Senior Vice President, Investor Relations at Aventiv Technologies, as Chair- Elect for 2023. Royce was previously SVP, North America CFO at Cognizant, where she was responsible for the strategic


financial direction of the business, including managing the pace of investments, leading the forecast and budgeting process, measuring sales efficiency, and providing pricing and com- mercial support to the business. Prior to joining Cognizant, she was Director of Investor Relations at Cantor Commercial Real


Estate, where she was responsible for private institutional investor relationships as well as corpo- rate bond holders and rating agencies. Previously, Royce was the Investor Relations Manager at Selective Insurance Group, Inc. She began her career on the buy side as an equity research analyst. Royce earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and a professional Certificate


in Investor Relations from New York University. Katie is a past Chair of the Steering Committee of the NIRI Senior Roundtable and Past President of the Board of the NIRI New York chapter. Moten is Senior Vice President, Investor Relations at Aventiv Technologies. He has more


than 30 years of finance and capital markets experience, including as an institutional portfolio manager and a securities analyst. Prior to joining Aventiv, Moten was Vice President of Investor Relations at Envista Holdings


Corporation, a global family of more than 30 dental brands. Before that, he was Vice President of Investor Relations at Foundation Building Materials. Earlier in his Career, Moten was Vice President of Investor Relations for Mallinckrodt Phar-


maceuticals, where he established the investor relations department in 2013 before its spinoff as a publicly traded company. He earned the NIRI Investor Relations Charter (IRC)® in 2018. “Both Katie and John have demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to NIRI over


many years, and we are thrilled to have them leading NIRI at such an important time for the organization,” said NIRI President and CEO Matthew Brusch, CAE. “I also thank Victoria Sivrais, Founding Partner at Clermont Partners, who completed her term as 2022 Board Chair, and Ruth Venning, IRC, Executive Director, Investor Relations and ESG at Horizon Terapeutics, who completed her Board service as Immediate Past Chair.” IR
