The APT Leadership Academy was a fantastic opportunity to meet, collaborate, and problem solve with multiple colleagues from various backgrounds and locations. I felt the Leadership Academy experience provided me with a strong foundational knowledge that can be applied to future leadership roles.

As a graduate of the Play Therapy Leadership Academy 2021, I consider myself privileged to have been chosen to participate in this experience. While in the academy, I learned a great deal about APT leadership’s “ins and outs,” and also built relationships with play therapists from across the US and that is an invaluable experience both personally and career-wise.
Charissa D. Pizarro, PsyD, RPT
The 2021 APT Leadership Academy provided an exciting peek behind the curtain of the business of play therapy. It was enlightening to learn so much about the attention to detail that goes into creating policies that guide APT’s mission. Our CEO and my amazing cohort provided a challenging and play thearpist.
