LEADERSHIP MESSAGE Jane Schaber
ISI Membership Development Coordinator ISI District 10 Director
Schwan Super Rink Skating Director Blaine, Minn.
Building Relationships is Critical to Our Success
We are excited to announce that we have expanded our membership services staff with the addition of three field representatives: Lauren Hunt, Shanley Pascal and Mandy Whitacre. While one of their responsibilities is to continue to grow our mem- bership base, they will also provide enhanced cus- tomer service to our existing members.
Networking and relationships are crucial in our industry, as it is through these efforts that we will continue to grow the ISI. Our new field reps will enable us to be in more regular contact with all Administrative members to address any concerns or questions they may have, to help with anything needed and to make sure that members are maxi- mizing their membership to its fullest — taking advantage of all ISI programs and benefits.
Lauren, Shanley and Mandy have been reaching out to district directors, facility managers and program directors to introduce themselves. They
will continue to work closely with our district rep- resentatives and the ISI staff to continue to share members’ feedback. If you have received a mes- sage from one of them, please be sure to return their call to get acquainted. They are eager to speak to you!
These professionals offer a vast amount of knowl- edge and experience in utilizing ISI programs and services and are an excellent resource for growing and improving facility programming.
Many of you still have questions regarding the new Individual membership and test registration pro- cess. They will work with you to find a satisfactory solution for implementing this new procedure.
Conversation is power, and by communicating and working together, we can continue to build a healthy, flourishing ice sports association that supports our members and the industry overall. As stated in previ- ous communications, the ISI is a membership-driven
organization, so maintaining a solid membership is critical to our continued success.
I encourage you to actively engage in conversation with the ISI staff, board of directors and district directors. More importantly, I challenge you to reach out to at least two members (who you don’t already know) and potential members to begin conversing.
Since ISI encompasses the ice sports industry as a whole, this is a unique opportunity for you to reach out to a coach, skating director, facility manager or operator to trade information, gain a better under- standing of another facet of the industry and to share how the ISI has benefited you — the rea- sons why you are “ISI Proud.”
With knowledge, comes power to make informed decisions — start those conversations today!
(For more information on our new field reps, please see page 8.)
