Support the Foundation While Shopping Amazon

INK PROFESSIONALS, YOU might ask: How can I add value to my skaters’ membership with ISI without
investing too much of my limited time or money? Well, take a look at the ISIA Education Foundation (skateisi.org/ foundation), which provides educational support to ISI skaters.
New this year, the foundation has established an AmazonSmile account. Now, anyone with an Amazon account can support the foundation with their regular Amazon purchases, at no extra cost. How? Shoppers simply visit smile.amazon.com and select the ISIA Education Foundation as their charity of choice. Amazon will then donate .05 percent of their total purchase price to the foundation. Te site operates exactly the same as Amazon. com; there are no differences in pricing, products, Prime shipping, etc.
Note that while the deadline for submitting scholarship applications for the 2018-19 school year was Feb. 1, it’s not too early for skaters to start thinking about applying for the following year. Please tell your skaters to review the criteria on the website. Encourage high school students to not only take a look and apply but also to get their volunteer hours in. Skaters have the opportunity to do their volunteer service hours at national events. The volunteer service hours not only benefit the skaters but also the facilities and programs that they work with.
Tanks to those who kicked off our AmazonSmile donations during the 2017 holiday shopping season! Please help us spread the word about this simple and fantastic way to benefit our skaters.
2018 FUNdraisers
Te 2018-19 scholarship winners will be announced this spring at the 2018 annual ISI Conference & Trade Show in Alexandria, Va. Tis year’s live auction item is an
ice resurfacer dog house, and our silent auction will feature some great skating- and non-skating related items. We will also feature a silent auction for skaters and their families at the ISIA Education Foundation booth at the 2018 Conference Championships at Piney Orchard Ice Arena in Odenton, Md. Our new auction co-chairs, Christine Wilson-Brinton and Samantha Bentley, welcome your support.
The ISIA Education Foundation
Board of Trustees will officially welcome two new members, Jim Becker and Art Sutherland, to the board at our spring meeting. Both Jim and Art have been foundation supporters in the past, and we are excited to have them on board as trustees.
Stay tuned for announcements on additional 2018 FUNdraisers and in the meantime, please remember that tax- deductible donations to the foundation are welcome at any time. Donations and pledges make meaningful honorary
