All consignments were checked for any blemishes or cull factors, including knots, scars, bad mouths, hooves or udders.

In addition to the sale, the Showcase featured a day of educa- tional seminars on Friday and homemade goat meat tamales for lunch on Saturday.

The high-selling buck and doe at the sale both were consigned

by Dr. Kraig and Suzanne Stemme of Lake Fork Kikos in Alba, Texas. The top-selling buck was Lot 66, LFK Sesame’s Silver Spur. He was purchased for $7,000 by Chad Maxwell and Gail Maxwell of Maxwell Kiko Farm in Waycross, Ga. The high-selling doe was Lot 67, LFK Sweetie Pie. She sold for $8,500 to Bud and Lori Camp- bell of Damascus, Va.

Here are the sale averages: • 58 NZ does sold for $1,930 avg. • 4 PB does sold for $1,050 avg. • 2 percentage does for $550 avg. • 2 bucks sold (1 no sale) for $6,500 avg. • 6 semen lots sold for $954 avg.

The high-selling Texas-bred Kiko doe has a new home in Virginia.

As usual, the authentic goat meat tamales were a hit dur- ing the complimentary lunch served before the sale.
