AGC/IHP Partnership Helps Members Meet COVID-19 Requirements

On November 19, 2020 at 10


a.m., California Occupational Health and Safety Standards (Cal/OSHA) Board voted to pass the COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS). AGC of California (AGC) reviewed and interpreted the regulation and found that COVID-19 testing was going to be a requirement for employers in the State of California. When the construction industry was deemed “essential” in early stages of the pandemic, construction employers put extreme effort in to ensure the health and safety of employees was upheld. Between November 19, 2020, when


the standards board voted to pass the COVID-19 Prevention ETS, and November 30, 2020, when the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) passed

the standard, AGC provided a solution to employers to limit the burdensome requirements of COVID-19 testing. AGC vetted three COVID-19 testing companies to provide a solution to


the air and kill Sars-Cov-2 through needle point bipolar ionization. Teir indoor air quality services are UL Listed.


COVID-19 Compliance Officer: IHP Safety also offers staffing and


members. After careful consider- ation, AGC agreed to a partner with Innovative Human Performance (IHP) Safety. IHP was established in 2019 with


a great track record for client service excellence and the ability to provide COVID-19 services at a membership rate. Some of the extensive list of services that IHP provides AGC members to help them comply with the new regulations on their projects include the following:


On-site COVID-19 Testing: IHP Safety offers on-site diagnostic


PCR testing collected by licensed RNs. Results are returned in 24-hours via a HIPAA portal. Te testing is available nationwide and has zero false negatives.


COVID-19 Safety Consulting: Contractors can also receive


customized COVID-19 Safety Plans, a cross-functional safety team, and incident response protocols and


guidance as part of their consultation. Indoor Air Quality Services: To allow contractors to operate


safely in occupied spaces, IHP Safety can also provide a service that offers HVAC Augmentation to help clean


training support to contractors in need of hiring a COVID-19 Compliance Officer. Tis officer will provide regulation enforcement and health/ safety oversight on jobsites.


IHP Health Survey: Contractors in need of a simple,


self-certification process and system for their employees and visitors when they enter a jobsite can look no further than IHP’s Health Survey. Te Survey is a web-based application that allows individuals to submit their symptoms and recent activity, which is then stored on HIPAA-compliant servers. Contract Tracing Hardware:


Lastly, IHP Safety offers contract tracing wearable devices. Tese devices use Bluetooth technology, are user- friendly, and allow your employees to track if someone around them has come into contact with COVID-19.
