Jack Curtit Advisory Director Legends Bank, Jefferson City


Jack Curtit began his banking career July 1, 1971, at Home Savings Bank in Jefferson City and would serve the bank in various capacities for the next 45 years. He was elected to the bank’s board in 1976 and was named president and CEO in 1993. Curtit served in this role


until September 2016, when the bank merged with Legends Bank. Curtit serves as an advisory director for the bank. He is a past chairman of the Missouri League of Financial Institutions, a past member of the MBA’s board of directors and past advisory director of Midwest Independent Bank.


A U.S. veteran, Curtit served in the Army for three years. He and his wife, Mary, are active in their church and community organizations. Tey have three children.


William M. Dana Jr. Vice Chairman


Central Bank of Kansas City Bill Dana began his banking career in February 1971 as a teller at the Ranchmart State Bank in Overland Park, Kansas. For the next 19 years, Dana worked his way through various roles at the bank, including discount note teller, installment lender, assistant vice president, commercial lender, vice president, cashier, trust officer and executive vice president. When he leſt the bank in 1990, Dana

had several interim roles as president of the Archie State Bank and deputy commissioner for the State Banking Department of Kansas. In 1991, Dana was named president and CEO of Central Bank of Kansas City. He remains active in the bank on a daily basis and currently serves as vice chairman.


Dana has served in many banking trade association roles, including MBA chairman in 2007. He and his wife, Kay, have been married 50 years. Tey have three children and six grandchildren.


Jerry D. Dorton Executive Vice President First Midwest Bank of Dexter


Jerry Dorton accepted his first banking job in 1971 as a loan officer for Security Bank in Paragould, Arkansas. From 1971 to 1980, he held various roles at banks in Arkansas and Tennessee. Nearly 10 years into his career, Dorton found the right fit. In May 1980, he was named chief operating officer for First Midwest Bank of Dexter. Tis decision to join the bank led to more career opportunities for Dorton. Troughout the past 41 years, he has held roles — from chief operating officer to senior vice president to president — with First Midwest Bank of Poplar Bluff, Midwest Bancshares and Gideon Bancshares Company. Troughout his 50-year career, Dorton has always had his customers’ best interests at heart.


He and his wife, Sandy, have been married for 50 years. Tey have two children and five grandchildren.
