EDUCATION & MARKETING Start of 2022 MBA Programming Marks Promising, Exciting Year By Jackson Hataway, Executive Vice President of Communications, Marketing & Member Services
The New Year is off to a great start at MBA! Although we made the cautious decision to move our School of Bank Management to May 2022, the momentum we felt as we leſt Executive Management Conference in December has not dissipated. Bankers are as excited as ever to network, learn and engage with their peers, whether it’s in person or online.
If you want proof, just ask any of the more than 200 women around the state who participated in our virtual Women in Banking Session in January. We launched the event with hope that we would have 100 people participate. When we saw member banks begin registering five, 10 and even 20 women for the event, our collective jaws dropped. We are all experiencing “Zoom fatigue,” yet these professionals blocked out half of their day to connect on critical topics for women in the banking industry.
Te comments we received aſter the event were equally exciting to read. Te bankers were impressed by the quality of the content and speakers and leſt energized about their careers. For many, this event prompted them to begin planning for in-person attendance at our Women in Banking Conference in August at Osage Beach. We certainly hope to see all 200 attendees and to bridge the energy of the virtual event with the magic of in-person.
We want to extend the same opportunity to engage to all of our members, and we will be doing so in next several months as our calendar “makes up for lost time.” In March, we are hosting an event a week.
• Ag Conference — March 2-3 • School of Compliance — March 8-11 • Bank Finance & Accounting Conference — March 15-16 • School of Lending/Advanced School of Lending — March 20-25
• Tri-State Human Resources Conference — March 29-30
We’re also thrilled to be launching a new event: the Bank Director’s Symposium that will be held April 14-15 at the brand new and breathtaking Loews Hotel in Kansas City.
No matter your role in the bank, we intend to ensure you get the education you need as a part of MBA. Whether you want to continue meeting virtually or join us on-site for any of these events, our commitment is to help keep you at the top of your profession and to connect you with a network of others who share your passion.
