inspired to go into Christian service or ministry. Dunlap Foundation receives no Denominational Ministry Funds; all grants are made possible from private gifts and endowment income from investing proceeds of donated real estate properties. Grant distributions are made by a qualified, motivated team of en- thusiastic volunteers. Dunlap funds stand as an exemplary model among the 106 ministry funds
A
mong the outstanding min- istries of the ARP Denomi- nation is the predictable,
ongoing financial program support to orphaned children through the Dunlap Foundation. As it has since at least the 1990’s, the Dunlap Board is able to make substantial annual grant distributions to outstanding residen- tial Christian homes for orphans as well as scholarships to Erskine. This year $174,000 was divided among nine families. Plus, over the past four years, a newly established Adop- tion Assistance Fund has generated 11 grants to help families totaling $41,000 including two this March. Thousands of young lives are changed, many have come into the Kingdom, and almost all program alumni lead productive family lives with a surprising number who are
owned, or managed under the ARP Foundation umbrella. Many are newly opened within the past half dozen years adding stability and allowing ARP Agencies, churches and ministries to extend their impact. Parallel with the number of new funds, Foundation Endowments and Endowment-type Funds have grown commensurately to $25M and above – even during the recent mar- ket downturn. Dunlap authenticates the recipe for sustained ministry impact. With faith-
driven vision, assisted by specialized staff expertise, volunteer-run programs will yield continuous success. Our donors are typically diligent people of average means, astute and often
aware of the advantages of non-cash giving options. As a result, Planned Giv- ing Program in the ARP Foundation is growing and receiving exciting new ma- jor gifts that benefit families by eliminating taxes, combining strategies to meet family needs with the financial freedom to give generously to ministries they love. Gifts of land, percentages of business ownership, stocks, and real estate are translated into gifts of cash – adding benefits of lowering taxes and leaving generous gifts to their families through a will or Trust. The ARP Foundation is truly grate-
