FROM THE PAST PRESIDENT Greeting Friends and Colleagues,

Te KVMA had another successful Mid-America Conference. A big thank you and job well done to Dr. Brigette Dean-Hines, Debra Hamelback and the planning committee. It was a pleasure working with the folks at Belterra Casino Resort, they did everything they could to make the conference run smoothly. Te responses from attendees and post conference surveys were extremely positive. We will be heading back to Te Galt House in Louisville for the 2023 Mid-America Confer- ence.

Te next year will be another busy year for the KVMA. We will continue to be a part of the Stakeholder Dialogue on the status of large animal veterinarians. We will also continue to add KVMA student chapters. A chapter is planned for Lincoln Memorial University CVM in the near future. We will also keep our members informed on the status of the Practice Act Modernization.

We have our Annual KVMA Executive Board Retreat scheduled for November 18-19, 2022. At the retreat we will make our plans for the upcoming year. As I have said before we have an awesome Executive board and Executive Director. Te future is very bright for the KVMA.

Sincerely,

Jason L. Rodgers DVM KVMA Past President

Te Mid-America Veterinary Conference would not be possible without our generous sponsors. Pictured is Dustin Black and friend, of Zoetis, with Dr. Matt Brunke.

Tese vet tech students availed themselves of the many educational opportunities during the Mid-America.
