TODAY’S EDUCATION AND TOMORROW’S VETERINARIANS (CONT.)


Each student that joined completed a small survey to address what they hope to gain from the student chapter (see figure). Some of the common requests were fundraising opportunities, monthly meetings, job outreach, networking, agricultural insight, scholarships, and overall informational updates from KVMA and KVBE. We would love to hear from any veterinarian who wishes to speak with us on the advantages of private practice, how they started, what can we expect as a Kentucky veterinarian?


If any veterinarian would like to distribute information to our student chapter members or sponsor a meeting about a topic of their choice, they are free to reach the officer team at kvmastudentchapter@ gmail.com. I have shared the current state of our education, you now have an equal opportunity to distribute information and update students through the KVMA student chapter. We hope to shape our chapter goals based on the needs of student members as well as the KVMA members.
