KVMA 2021 AWARD RECIPIENTS & OFFICERS ANNOUNCED
The Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association (KVMA) hosted its 110th Annual Business and Awards Meeting & 48th Mid-America Veterinary Conference at Te Galt
House in Louisville, Ky., September 24-26, 2021.
Friday, September 24th, Kentucky Department of Agriculture Commissioner Dr. Ryan Quarles delivered the Keynote Speech with a celebration of Retiring Kentucky State Veterinarian Dr. Robert Stout for 17 dedicated years to Kentucky’s agricultural and veterinary communities.
On Saturday, September 25th, the KVMA celebrated many individuals for their won- derful contribution to the veterinary community. New officers were also presented. Dr. Jason Rodgers of Paducah, Ky., was handed over the gavel to become President of the KVMA by now KVMA Past-President Dr. Debra Shoulders of Bowling Green, Ky. Dr. Brigette Dean-Hines of Simpsonville KY is the President-Elect and Dr. Ben Red- mon of Bowling Green, Ky., is Vice-President along with Dr. Wade King of Frankfort, Ky., being re-elected Secretary/ Treasurer.

THE LABORE AWARD WINNER DR. CLENON TURNER Te LaBore Award was awarded for only the 5th time since its in- ception in 1983 when it was first awarded to then longtime KVMA Executive Director Dr. Don LaBore. Tis prestigious award was presented to Dr. Clenon Turn- er who resides in Langley, Ky., with his wife Diana. Dr. Turner has served the KVMA for over 45 years in many leadership roles including President and all officer roles. Dr. Turner was a founding member of the KVMA Founda- tion and played an integral role in raising funding for the KVMA home office, which is called Te LaBore Building in Frankfort, Ky.
