the Portland Community College, Portland OR followed by a B.S. degree in Biology, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree , and a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology (pathology residency), all from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition, she has already passed her Ameri- can College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) board exams and is now fully certified in pathology. Her time at the Purdue laboratory allowed her to gain valuable diagnostic necropsy experience with cattle, sheep, goats, horses and beyond, including laboratory animals. Finally, Dr. Swan has already made a personal com- mitment to achieve board certification in the discipline of Clinical Pathology. Tis will ultimately enable the UKVDL to offer a much higher level of Clinical Pathology testing services for our clients. Welcome aboard Dr. Swan!
Finally, we are so thrilled to announce that, Ms. Meg Steinman, our Section Head of Serology for over twelve years (retired from UKVDL about four months ago), just received the 2021 AAVLD Outstanding Performance Award for Diagnostic Service. She is the third person to receive this national honor in the U.S. Congratulations Meg!
