Focus on Our Churches
Crosspoint Bible Church Omaha, Nebraska Rich Peterson, Interim Pastor
crosspointbible.org As summer comes to an end, it’s a great
opportunity to reflect on how God has worked! Our vacation Bible school, “Mystery Island,” saw around 175 kids with about 85 volunteers. God truly blessed the week, and we are so thankful for God’s hand in it! Additionally, the kids at Crosspoint have been able to take part in a summer Bible reading program, in which they get to take a deep dive into the Word of God. Tey also had a special “Paint, Picnic, and Praise” event where kids and parents could come and paint together.
At the beginning of the summer, our kitchen
got a little bit of an update with new flooring for the fellowship hall and kitchen, as well as some new appliances. Tese were made possible through a memorial fund for John and Mary Lindsey, as well as a designated facility-use fund.
Crosspoint teens have been able to continue
meeting periodically through the summer, which has been a great chance for them to fellowship to- gether. Our men’s group, Ironsharpeners, has also been able to have some special events, including a camping trip and an outing to go axe throwing.

Indian Head Community Bible Church Indian Head, Saskatchewan Justin Epp, Pastor For most of the past year, Sunday services
were held online or two identical worship services were held at two times each Sunday — this was done so that attendance would be low enough to comply with local gathering regulations. At the end of May, we were able to return to a single worship service for the entire congregation. Tere has been great joy in gathering together again as a whole body.
Pastor Justin completed a sermon series on Nehemiah in January. Since then he has resumed
preaching through the Pauline epistles, first Phi- lippians, and now Colossians.
Sunday School was temporarily suspended
last fall but the church continued to host a weekly Kids Club throughout the school year. Elemen- tary age children from the church attended consistently. We plan to hold a one-week program for the children in July. We will use the stories posted online by CEF Saskatchewan for this year’s virtual 5-Day Clubs, and supplement with other materials.
Some of our small group meetings will also
start again in July, aſter a break of several months due to government limits on private gatherings.

Kenora Bible Church Kenora, Ontario
www.kenorabiblechurch.ca We are so grateful for Allan Dueck’s preach-
ing ministry since last fall. He has been teaching very practical and applicable truths as he works through the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew. In August Allan and Eva will be moving to be closer to their family. We will miss both their ministry and their friendship. Our elders contin- ue to search for our next pastor.
From April 25 to June 6 our church met
in smaller groups in three separated areas of our church and two homes to respect Ontario’s COVID -19 regulations over that time. It was a blessing to fellowship and worship together even though we were not all together in one room. As of June 13 we are back together in the sanctuary.
