We continue to pray for those in
authority, that their decisions may be for the best interests of the people. We acknowledge that God has placed us in this time and place in history for His purposes.
We pray that the Spirit would
guide and direct us to use the oppor- tunities available to us to follow His direction and continue to grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, faithfully sharing the Good News in our lives and with our words. We give thanks to God for His power and protection, and we place all our hope and trust in Him. To Him be the glory!

www.ebcdallas.org As with churches around the
globe, we’re still working under the limits imposed by the global pandemic and all of its associated mandates and recommendations. Unlike a number of churches in our area, EBC continues to offer both in-person and online Sunday Worship Services. While we are lim- ited in the number of people who can participate in-person, the reception to such an offering has been very strong. Additionally, our first service (we offer two Sunday morning services) is live broadcast via Facebook and YouTube. Tose in our community who don’t feel comfortable meeting in-person can still be fed with a weekly teaching from God’s Word.
At the start of this year, EBC pur-
chased an organizational membership with RightNow Media. In case you are unfamiliar with this service, they offer hundreds (probably THOUSANDS!)
of streaming videos on Bible Study. Tey also offer special topics on things such as mental health and recovery, Bible history, marriage, parenting, and children’s videos — to name just a few.
Everyone in our church commu-
nity can sign-up for a free account that gives them access to everything available on RightNow Media. Many of EBCs ministries — especially our small “Connect” groups — are taking advantage of this way of delivering high quality materials.
Our Mom To Mom Group is
working to overcome the obstacles placed upon them by the pandemic. Tis group of young moms has been brainstorming new and innovative methods to stay connected, encourage one another, and grow during this time. Recently they had a drive-in Moms and Pops Date Night where the couples were able to stop by the church and pick up their meal for the evening, as well as games and other items to make the evening special. It is hoped that next year we’ll be able to return to a “normal” event featuring dinner, childcare, games, and entertainment!
Te EBC nursery, although empty
of little ones during this pandemic, has NOT gone unnoticed. When the chil- dren and workers return— hopefully soon — they will find a room that has been completely renovated with fresh paint, age-appropriate wall decorations, and new furniture. Alison Johnson and her crew did an amazing job transform- ing this space into a modern, friendly, and welcoming area.
Te EBC website has also received
a lot of attention of late. Justin Ensz, our resident webmaster/designer, just recently completed work on a total overhaul of our church’s webpage. If you haven’t yet visited it, check it out!
Te Ninety’s Club of EBC is going
strong. Membership in this exclusive club has only one criteria: It is for members of our church family who are at least 90 years young. Each month in our newsletter, members are spotlight- ed so that the entire church family can learn about these fine folks and all of the history they have witnessed during their life.
Our Awana program recently
conducted our Annual Grand Prix, featuring cars fashioned from a rectan- gular block of wood that are then raced down a track. Although it was a bit different this year in terms of seating, we were able to have spectators for this fun event. Some of the cars were very elaborate and, obviously, took a great deal of time to create. Regardless of how much work went into a child’s car, it was readily apparent by the laughter and smiles that EVERYONE had a great time at the event.
Back in November 2020, EBC
was blessed to have Mike Hawes join our staff. Mike is our new Worship Director and comes to us with a wealth of personal and professional experience in the business of music recording and production. Under Mike’s leadership, the Worship Team has a fresh new sound that has received favorable comments from our church family. In addition to leading the worship, Mike plays the guitar and writes parts for the various members of the Worship Team.
We are most appreciative of Kevin
Stone for his monthly updates on FEBC. Our readers have commented very favorably as to how those articles help them to feel/stay connected with our Fellowship.
